Day -5

Ryan went to bed with a fever and it NEVER went away

After his morning blood draw, the reports showed that his liver enzymes were very elevated.

Because the chemo he is on right now affects his liver, the Doctors decided to pass on the last two doses in order to give his liver a break.
(They will still continue with the next two types of chemo to prepare him for his transplant on Weds)

The medications Ryan takes for his fevers (Tylenol, Advil) also affect the liver.

Sadly, this meant that Ryan could not have ANYTHING for his fevers today. So he spent the entire day toughing out fevers that hovered around 104 with only ice packs.

He was able to hold down a few bites of watermelon and an Ensure nutritional drink.

By the end of the night his fever was starting to come down, it was 101.

It is at times like this, that he draws strength from all of your prayers

~Thank you for the love and support~

Oh man, I'm sorry you had such a rough day. Hopefully today is better. At least its Saturday and that means college football games will be on ALL DAY! So when you are awake, there will be something good to watch!
