What a great day!

Well shortly after I posted the previous message, I heard Margie at my hospital door. Margie was writing on a little chalk board that they had used to decorate the outside of my door. ONLY family members write on it so I knew it must be her. Well so far we have spent the day together going through the blog and with her catching me up on all that we've been through. You see, most of it I don't remember or at least very well. Margie helped me walk 1 whole mile around the cancer unit, and the best part of the day was when my nurse came in the room and said well I guess you don't need this anymore, and she unhooked me from my IV pole! Oh the freedom I feel. I felt like doing 100 laps around this crazy hospital. Well, I don't want to mess anything up, but the doctors are actually considering letting me go home Monday or Tuesday!! It depends a lot on my blood tests, but they think by then that I'll be ready. Right now Margie is taking a nap and it is so peaceful watching her sleep. She puts in 20+ hour days and I think that she deserves a good nap. Sleep tight.
Love Ryan

Getting flushed with saline after being unhooked

Hmmm... what's that in the background?

My girls are still praying for "dads friend from work" every time they pray even at the dinner table. Such good news Ryan keep it up.

Oh, wow! We are sooooo happy for you! We'll keep praying that your WBC continues to go up and that you are able to go home early this coming week. Wow!!!!! Thanks for taking the time to write to us all, Ryan. It's wonderful to hear from you (although we love Margie, too, and are so grateful for the time and energy she puts into this blog so all your fans can know how you're doing). Have a lovely Sunday tomorrow and keep getting well!

We are home, and missing all of you so much! I was so hard leaving you Sat. morning, but my prayer had been that you would feel so much better by the time we left, and you do! I thank Heavenly Father many times each day for His blessings and for hearing our prayers. Keep up the good healing Ryan, and when we get there, we will making those walks around the lake!
Love, Mom

Ryan, I have been keeping up with you through the blog and facebook, and want you to know that I think about and pray for you constantly. The ups and downs you are going through bring me to tears, and I hope you are ok! I remember all the time we spent together at horse shows and 4-H and laugh! Hang in there!
