4th of July reminiscing...

The past week has been hard for many reasons. Lots of 1sts and lots of reminiscing...

It was exactly one year ago today that Ryan was released from the hospital after undergoing his first round of chemo. After 3 weeks in the hospital, we couldn't have asked for a better way to spend our 4th of July. It truly was an INDEPENDENCE DAY.

As much as I wish he were still here to celebrate this 4th of July with us tonight... I know that he is free from so many other things that confined him over this past year. That knowledge brings me so much peace and I know that he is ALWAYS near in spirit.

I am proud and grateful to be an American.
I so very thankful for all my freedoms that I can enjoy on a daily basis because of honorable service people who have fought and who continue to fight for all of us- THANK YOU!

So much to be grateful for, ALWAYS...

Happy 4th of JULY

And a reason to celebrate this 4th of July - - Is that Ryan is Truly Free now. Hope your family is doing okay, we still think of you daily and hope you are finding reasons to smile every single day.

We echo the sentiments of the last post. We still think of your family every day, and hope you are as ok as you can be right now. Thank you again for sharing these memories, thoughts, and pictures, with us. Your pictures are amazing!

I'm sorry it was a hard day for you. I'm sure many more of these days will come but remember you don't walk alone. Ryan is still beside you and your kids :) Right now Ben spends the week in Chicago so he can get some sleep and then he comes home on the weekends. Alisse and I were talking about 'what if dad never came home' and I said how I'd be lonely. She said "you wouldn't be lonely mom, I'd still be here with you". How true :) I hope your kids are able to fill a small part of the huge void you have. We love you and think of you every day!

Margie, you amaze me. I hadn't seen your blog until today. You have an incredible amount of inner strength. I know that you have to, but it impresses me none the less. Thank you for your gift and the note that you wrote after Joshua passed away. I don't think that I have received anything so kind. You probably understand better then anyone how good it feels to know that people care about you. Your family had been in our prayers from the moment we moved into the ward. I hope that you are constantly uplifted by the spirit and the peoaceful feeling you have in your home at this time. I know that feeling; and sometimes, especially in the evenings, it is all that gets me through. There just aren't words. Know that you are always in our thoughts and prayers. Your family has inspired many. Love, Diana

And, if it's just too difficult, most will understand . . .

Margie- You continue to be such a wonderful example. I'm sure at times, things must seem unbearable. We're still thinking about you and praying for your little family.
With all our love,
