Thankful...

I think every year at this time, we all remember what we are truly grateful for... but the past 6 months have REALLY taught, shown and made us realize what we are thankful for. It is really easy to get caught up in the craziness of life and to begin taking things that you are grateful for, for granted.

Although we would have NEVER wanted this trial in our life, we are grateful for all the blessings that have come as a result. Of course a gratitude list could go on and on... but here is a small list of what our family is grateful for:

-compassion from friends and extended family
-spending each day together as a family
-great medical care
-having a home to live in and food on the table
-70 degree weather in Arizona
Max: "My daddy"
Hallie: "For my dad to be feeling well and at home with us"
* A loving Heavenly Father that hears and answers prayers*

Happy Thanksgiving

Since it's Thanksgiving Day, we spent some time talking about those things we're grateful for (something we should do more of every day, we've decided). We want you to know that we are so thankful that we've been able to pray for and see a wonderful miracle this year. Thank you for sharing your sorrows and joys with us. We love you all and we're grateful so for you! Keep getting well, Ryan!

Our Thanksgiving this year was truly a day of GREAT thanks to Heavenly Father for our family, each child, grandchild, brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, etc., and the best friends ever! We have been so truly blessed. We thank Heavenly Father for you Ryan, and for Margie, Hallie and Max. Your life has been upside down for the past six months, plus, and still you show gratitude and love. The blessings that have come to our family are many, I feel the increased love for each other, I see the renewed faith in our Savior, and unity in our pleading on your behalf. I see the power of prayer and fasting, and the miracles that can come through obedience and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. I see a bright future in store of each of us; one that includes extending ourselves more to those around us in their time of need.
Love you so much, Mom
